Marketing Concept: Storytelling for Business

Marketing concept for today: Storytelling for Business. This infographic came across my desk recently from the folks at Fathom Business Events. Whether your preferred method of telling your story is LIVE, such as speaking and seminars, or other online/offline channels, THIS is exactly what you should be spending your time doing:

I Have found that telling your story is better than 100 commercials, flyers, or sales pitches. I am a personal trainer and I use story telling all the time so a prospective client sees what drives me. It also lets them now that what you do is more than a job, its a purpose.

Darryl,
You are 1000% spot-on to say that telling your story connects deeply with communicating your purpose. Your thought reminds me of Simon Sinek and his great book "Start with Why" If you haven't seen it, take a look here:

Thank you for your comment, Darryl.

I absolutely LOVE this poster of sorts by Fathom Business Events! Stories are the smores of marketing. Hand me a piece of chocolate and some graham crackers, my marshmallow is ready!

Mary,
Thanks for your comment. And you're making me HUNGRY! "Stories are the Smores of Marketing" - I'm seeing yet another great blog title for YOU. Until then, let's keep roasting, shall we?

Love what you're doing - I'm an oral Irish Story Teller for adults and witness every time the impact a story (I tell Irish myths, folklore, contemporary tales) has on people - it reintroduces 'listening', taking time out to listen...we retain far more when a good story is told...
